The Story Behind Satrangi
Satrangi was founded by ILA GUPTA, whose journey has always been centered around building bridges between cultures.
My journey began in 2013 with handmade jewelry, created with passion and a love for design. What started as a small creative venture gradually grew into something much bigger. In September 2018, I opened my first boutique in Perrysburg, Ohio, sharing the colors, craftsmanship, and traditions of South Asia with the local community.
Like many small businesses, the journey came with challenges, changes, and new beginnings. In September 2023, Satrangi found its new home at The Shops at Fallen Timbers in Maumee, Ohio, where it continues to grow and evolve.
The name "ILA" holds a special meaning for me, India Loves America. It represents the blending of two worlds, honoring the rich traditions, artistry, and craftsmanship of India while embracing the opportunities, community, and spirit of America.
That vision continues to guide everything we do. Our goal is not only to offer beautiful products and services but also to create a welcoming space where people from all backgrounds can discover, celebrate, and connect.
Today, Satrangi is more than a Boutique.
We offer carefully curated Indian, fusion, Western, bridal, and special occasion fashion, along with custom alterations and personalized styling. Over time, our vision expanded beyond fashion to include celebrations and experiences.
Through The SPACE, we provide a welcoming venue for gatherings, celebrations, workshops, and community events. Through Fifth Season Weddings & Events, we help bring special occasions to life with decor, design, and event services that blend creativity, culture, and personal touches.
